Meet Our Pastor

My name is Pastor Michael Tanney. I’m from Detroit, MI. This is my fourth career change. I began as a Lutheran teacher, went overseas to be a missionary in Venezuela and Puerto Rico, and finished my colloquy at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska to serve as a DCE (Director of Christian Education) in Davenport, IA. Recently I studied at Concordia Seminary to be a Pastor. My first call was to St. Johns Lutheran congregation as their Senior Pastor.

I have a wonderful wife and four boys who are now married and out-of-state. I enjoy music, drama and sports.
