WOW (Women of the Word)

In August of 1996, a group of women came together to explore the possibility of starting an evening women’s fellowship group at St. Johns Lutheran Church. With roots in the Women’s Guild (formerly the Ladies’ Aid Society), the organization known as the Women of the Word (W.O.W.) began. The purpose of our group is to foster Christian growth, fellowship, and service among the women of St. Johns. We include Bible study as a part of each meeting. Our regular meetings are held on the second Monday of the month, beginning at 7:00pm (temporarily on hiatus due to COVID-19). Visitors and new members are always welcome to join us as we study God’s Word, make plans to be of service to our church and community, and enjoy the blessings of Christian friendship.
