You are invited to join us for Worship without Communion on Sunday at 9 am (we are socially distant and masks are encourage) or online on Monday when our video is posted. We will be using the service of Matins that is found in our hymnbooks.
This Sunday we will be reading from:
Isaiah 51:1–6 (The salvation of the Lord will be forever.)
Romans 11:33–12:8 (We are one Body in Christ.)
Matthew 16:13–20 (Jesus is confessed as the Christ, the Son of the living God, by Peter.)
We will be singing hymns:
LSB 798 The God of Abraham Praise, stanzas 1-4
LSB 645 Built on the Rock
LSB 798 The God of Abraham Praise, stanzas 5-9
The sermon will focus on the Isaiah reading. Again, in this text of Isaiah, the theme of salvation is still spoken to His people. This Sunday, we will be looking back at when salvation began, and we will be looking around to see where salvation is found, and we will be looking ahead to when salvation will be rightly ours forever.
