Sunday Preview for September 6th, 2020

You are invited to join us for Worship without Communion on Sunday at 9 am (we are socially distant and masks are encouraged) or online on Monday when our video is posted.

This Sunday we will be reading from:
Ezekiel 33:7–9 (The watchman warns the wicked to turn from his way.)
Romans 13:1–10 (Love is the fulfilling of the law.)
Matthew 18:1–20 (Jesus calls the children of God to humility and repentance.)

We will be singing hymns:
LSB 614 “As Surely as I Live,” God Said
LSB 820 My Soul, Now Praise Your Maker
LSB 707 Oh, That the Lord Would Guide My Ways

The sermon will focus on the Gospel reading. Matthew 18 has many themes, but one that keeps coming up is a child. This will be the answer to the question the disciples had for Jesus, “who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven?”. This Sunday, we will unpack what it means to be a child in the Kingdom of heaven.
