You are invited to join us for Worship on Sunday at 9 am (we are socially distant and masks are encouraged) or online on Monday when our video is posted.
This Sunday we will be reading from:
Isaiah 55:6–9 (Seek the Lord while He may be found.)
Philippians 1:12–14, 19–30 (Let your manner of life be worthy of the Gospel of Christ.)
Matthew 20:1–16 (The last will be first and the first will be last.)
We will be singing hymns:
LSB 738 Lord of All Hopefulness
LSB 723 The Lord Is My Light
LSB 555 Salvation unto Us Has Come stanzas 1-6
LSB 555 Salvation unto Us Has Come stanzas 7-10
The sermon will focus on the Isaiah text. Have you ever questioned God on certain issues? In the message this Sunday, God doesn’t question it. He just says “My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts are higher than your thoughts”. What God will be saying to us is that it’s His way and not our way. For example, the way of peace. Our way has always brought violence. God’s way has always brought forgiveness.
