Sunday Preview for October 18th, 2020

You are invited to join us for our Worship on Sunday at 9 am (we are socially distant and masks are encouraged) or online on Monday when our video is posted.
This Sunday we will be reading from:
Isaiah 45:1–7 (The Lord uses Cyrus as an instrument of deliverance.)
1 Thessalonians 1:1–10 (The Thessalonians’ faith and example)
Matthew 22:15–22 (Jesus tested by the Pharisees about paying taxes to Caesar)
We will be singing hymns/songs:
LSB 549 All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name
LSB 940 Holy God, We Praise Thy Name
LSB 813 Rejoice, O Pilgrim Throng
The sermon on Sunday will look at the Isaiah text. The Lord speaks again. Is anyone listening? That is how we live by faith. The Lord speaks through Isaiah and tells his people what he is about to do. I will subdue nations. Can you believe that? Especially as we are about to elect a president. Can you live by faith whoever is in charge? Since He says I will go before you. I am the Lord and there is no other. So, Yes, you can.
